It’s no surprise to see Carlos Alcaraz getting the home crowd onside by going into his bag of tricks early on. The Spaniard pulls out a sublime drop volley to move 3-1 up in this opening set, as he continues to look more and more comfortable on the grass.

That’s a rather flat opening game from the former Queen’s champion Dimitrov, with two double faults. Alcaraz says thank you very much and eases into an early lead.

Dimitrov is the only former Queen’s champion left in the draw.

It rather summed up the match. Norrie made too many errors throughout in order to challenge Korda’s serve and when the American found his rhythm it was rather one-sided.

Korda is looking pretty strong ahead of Wimbledon and that big serve could get him a long way. He reached the Australian Open semi-finals earlier this year.
