Nikki Haley avoided mentioning her former boss during the first months of 2023 but that changed in 2024.
The former South Carolina governor is hoping to win the primaries there and since her defeat in New Hampshire, she hasn't held back on directly attacking her rival Donald Trump.
On Tuesday, Ms Haley vowed to stay in the contest after speculation she may call it quits. She has been badly trailing in the Republican race so far with three consecutive losses against Mr Trump. Her home state South Carolina votes on Saturday.
