Carlos Alcaraz resumes his French Open campaign on Wednesday while the match of the day takes place between Iga Swiatek and Naomi Osaka.
Defending champion and world No 1 Swiatek is looking to make it three-in-a-row at Roland Garros and takes on four-time grand slam winner Osaka in a tantalising match-up. They’re third up on Court Philippe-Chatrier.
Wimbledon champion Alcaraz is in action before them with Jannik Sinner, Stefanos Tsitsipas and Andrey Rublev the other high-seeded men in second round action.
Elsewhere in the women’s singles, US Open champion Coco Gauff takes on Slovenian qualifier Tamara Zidansek and home favourite Caroline Garcia faces former Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin.
Yesterday, Katie Boulter and Dan Evans joined the British exodus from Roland Garros, with all six British players entered in the main draw failing to reach the second round in Paris
Follow all the latest tennis scores and results from Day 4 at Roland Garros below:
French Open: Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3 6-2 6-7 2-2 Daniel Altmaier
It’s getting lively on Suzanne-Lenglen. Altmeier has saved break points to stay level in the fourth set, at 2-2, but Tsitsipas is getting edgy. The Greek has just turned and screamed “SHUT UP”, I think towards his box. The errors are starting to flow, too.
Meanwhile Sofia Kenin has broken Caroline Garcia on Philippe-Chatrier and leads 6-3 4-2. The former finalist is just two games away from beating the home favourite and 21st seed.

French Open: Third set! Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3 6-2 6-7 Daniel Altmaier
A stunning third-set tiebreak from Daniel Altmaier, who stays alive and forces the fourth set against the ninth seed Tsitsipas!
The German went all-guns blazing in the decider, swinging cleanly from the baseline to fire a series of winners, coupled with a magnificent sliding volley at the net.
Huge serving, too. He takes the tiebreak 7-2!

French Open: First set! Sofia Kenin 6-3 Caroline Garcia
Kenin breaks Garcia to take the opening set on Philippe-Chatrier, silencing the home crowd with a forehand winner into the corner.
It’s been an assured start from the American - and this would be a big win for the 25-year-old. She lost in the opening round of qualifying here last year.
Tsitispas has made it through to the third-set tiebreak against Altmaier, who must win this to stay alive in the match.

French Open: Stefanos Tsitsipas 6-3 6-2 4-5 Daniel Altmaier
This has long been a more competitive match than the scoreline in the first two sets suggested and Altmaier has managed to held serve through five games in the third.
How will Tsitsipas manage now he has to hold serve to stay in it? We could be heading for a tiebreak over on Suzanne-Lenglen.

French Open: Sofia Kenin 4-3 Caroline Garcia
It’s the American who strikes first against the home favourite Garcia on Philippe-Chatrier, breaking in the fifth game to lead in the opening set. It’s been an attritional battle so far, with plenty of long exchanges and extended games. Kenin is limiting the errors, hitting clean from the baseline and pushed for the double break in the seventh game.
Garcia gets it, though, and will look to build from there.

French Open: Naomi Osaka looks ahead to Iga Swiatek test
Despite the rain, we are guaranteed to get Naomi Osaka’s match against Iga Swiatek today, which is third on Philippe-Chatrier.
Swiatek is in the form of her life on clay, while Osaka is working her way back into form after returning to the tour at the start of the season following a long maternity break.
“I watched her a lot when I was pregnant. It’s an honour to play her in the French Open because she has won more than once here. It’s a very big challenge for me,” Osaka said.
“It’s a test to see where I’m at but I wouldn’t say I have low expectations of myself. I’m a person that thinks that I can win every match that I play.
“That’s gotten me this far. I’d never play a match thinking lowly of myself, no.”

French Open: Second set! Stefanos Tsitsipas6-3 6-2 Daniel Altmaier
Impressive stuff from Tsitsipas, who has rolled through two sets in under an hour on Suzanne-Lenglen.
The Greek has taken an aggressive approach against Altmaier and it’s paying off. Quality shot-making from the former finalist and plenty of winners, too.

French Open: The rain returns
Ah, the covers are once again on around the outside courts as the rain arrives.
The roof was closed on Philippe-Chatrier and Suzanne-Lenglen, where Tsitsipas leads Altmaier.
All play elsewhere has been stopped, however.

French Open: Play underway on Philippe-Chatrier
The day’s action on Court Philippe-Chatrier gets underway with the meeting of home favourite Caroline Garcia and the former Australian Open champion Sofia Kenin. The American is also a former French Open finalist, losing to Iga Swiatek in the same year as she won the Australian Open title, but has had a difficult time with injuries since.
She has worked her way back up the rankings, though, and is now World No 2. Garcia, a former World No 4, has the game to be a grand slam champion but has fallen at the second round of the French in each of the last three years.
Tsitsipas, meanwhile, is cruising in the second set and leads Altmaier, 6-3 4-0. Vondrousava has hit back to lead Volynets 4-1 in the second.

French Open: UPSET ALERT!
What a scoreline we have over on Court 14, where Wimbledon champion Marketa Vondrousova has lost the opening set 6-0 to the unseeded American and World No 108 Katie Volynets.
The Czech has got on the board at the start of the second, though, but that’s an eye-catching score to say the least. Vondrousova is a former French Open finalist, losing to Ash Barty.
Vondrousova seems to tank at the grand slams or go really far. She lost in the first round of the Australian Open earlier this season, after winning Wimbledon and reaching the US Open quarters.
Tsitsipas, meanwhile, takes the opening set 6-3 against Altmaier.
