Your support helps us to tell the story
This election is still a dead heat, according to most polls. In a fight with such wafer-thin margins, we need reporters on the ground talking to the people Trump and Harris are courting. Your support allows us to keep sending journalists to the story.
The Independent is trusted by 27 million Americans from across the entire political spectrum every month. Unlike many other quality news outlets, we choose not to lock you out of our reporting and analysis with paywalls. But quality journalism must still be paid for.
Help us keep bring these critical stories to light. Your support makes all the difference.
Every year, the same advice proves valuable for facing the darker days: seek out some winter sun.
It’s not just about taking a holiday; it’s a chance to recharge with warmth and energy when the cold takes hold.
But where to start? In this Virtual Event,The Independent’s award-winning travel correspondent Simon Calder and travel editor Ben Parker will join global travel editor Annabel Grossman live from our studio, to help you escape the chill.
Whether you’re searching for warmer climes or looking to embrace the festive spirit in destinations like Lapland, Simon and the team will provide invaluable tips and insights to help you plan your perfect holiday getaway.
They will also be able to offer advice if bad weather, air-traffic control failures or the travel gods cause your trip to go awry.
The trio will be tackling all your travel questions – no matter how big or small – so make sure you submit them in advance.
As ever, no travel questions are off the cards – you can ask the team anything from how to get the best deals on package holidays and whether travel rules will affect your trip to what makes a great last-minute deal.
The event will be hosted on Zoom and will last one hour. It will take place on Thursday 14 November and will start at 7pm GMT.
Once signed up you will be able to ask questions to the panel. You can also post questions in the comments of this article.
