Former Bolivian president Evo Morales said his vehicle was shot at on Sunday, in what he claimed was an assassination attempt.
Footage posted to social media shows Morales sitting in the passenger seat of a car, as other passengers shout for him to duck. Two bullet holes are visible in the front windshield of the vehicle.
In a statement Morales's Movement for Socialism (Mas) party said it held the current government responsible.
President Luis Arce condemned political violence and said the incident would be investigated.
