    The state pension age has been changing in recent times, having previously been 60 for women and 65 for men. In November 2018, the state pension age for women reached 65, and now the age is rising at the same rate.

    According to the timetable of changes under the Pensions Act 2011, the next set of people after the aforementioned group to reach state pension age will be those born between June 6, 1954 and July 5, 1954.

    They are due to reach state pension age on March 6, 2020.

    Under the Pensions Act 2016, the state pension age is due to rise from 66 to 67 between 2026 and 2028.

    The way in which the increase to the state pension age is phased has been change, meaning that for changes during this time, people born between April 6, 1960 and March 5, 1961 will reach their state pension age at 66 years and the specified number of months, rather than it being on a specific date.

    Under the Pensions Act 2007, the state pension age for men and women will increase from 67 to 68 between 2044 and 2046.
