Kofi Ayim
Kofi Ayim is a self-thought media personality. He cut his media teeth at Asenta, a now retired African
community newspaper in the New York Metro Area in the early 1990s as a cultural columnist. In
2002 Kofi and some few friends established a new community newspaper, Amandla. He has been the
editor of Amandla for the past seventeen years. From April 2015 to April 2017 he hosted Anything
Africa, a weekly internet radio program at Jersey Ghana radio in Newark, New Jersey. In between
these activities and professional services, the community-prone, high-octane charged Kofi Ayim has
authored three books, Jack Cudjo: Newark's Revolutionary Soldier & First Black Businessman (2011)
and The Akan of Ghana. Aspects of Past and Present Practices (2015), and The Legendary Kwasi
Akuffo; King of Akuapem, Gold Coast (Ghana), (2018). All three books were warmly received by the
publishing community, with Kirkus Book Review writing positive reviews, focusing on the historical
accuracy and Kofi's story-telling style. Those close to him describe him as a motivational speaker, a socialite and a multifaceted person who is not afraid to take up challenges. Kofi Ayim has advance
degrees in Telecommunication and Transportation Engineering.
Kofi is the host of “Anything Africana”, a weekly interactive program at Africana55Radio.The show
