Dishoom has launched at-home bacon naan roll kits so that fans can reproduce the Indian food chain’s beloved breakfast dish.

The cult Indian food chain was forced to close all of its restaurants in March after the UK went into lockdown.

Dishoom has started delivering some of its staple dishes to parts of central London, but this is the first time the restaurant has launched a DIY kit for customers to replicate one of its dishes at home.

Launching on Thursday 18 June, the bacon naan roll kits include all of the necessary spices and ingredients to make the dish.

Each kit serves two and contains smoked streaky bacon from Ramsay of Carluke, three naan doughballs (enough for two plus a spare for experimenting with your own flavours), tomato-chilli jam, fresh coriander and cream cheese.

The kit, which costs £16, will also contain the requisite tea and spices to brew a batch of Dishoom’s Masala Chai drink.

For this, customers will use loose Darjeeling tea and chai spices.

Full instructions explaining how to make the naan bread will be included in each kit.

There is also a YouTube video tutorial available on the restaurant’s website.

There’s a philanthropic bonus, too, because every kit purchased will equate to a single donation of a meal to the charity Magic Breakfast.

You can order your Dishroom bacon naan roll kit online here.
