Euro 2020 will take place in the summer of 2021 after being postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic. The rescheduled tournament, which will still go by the name Euro 2020, will begin on 11 June and finish a month later with the final at Wembley as planned.

Twenty-four nations will compete across 11 venues from Dublin to Baku as Uefa goes ahead with its ambitious and somewhat controversial plan for a pan-continental tournament.

Portugal will be back looking to defend their crown but face stiff competition from a wide open field which includes the world champions, France. The pair have been drawn in the undoubted ‘group of death’ with Germany and an unlucky play-off winner.

England will take on Croatia, Czech Republic and Scotland in a group that sees Gareth Southgate’s men meet two nations they have lost against in recent times.

Wales meanwhile face Italy, Switzerland and Turkey in a group which will see them play two games in Azerbaijan before heading to Rome for the final match against the Italians.
