On Wednesday, Meghan responded to a new report in The Times, which claimed she was the subject of a bullying complaint in October 2018, while at Kensington Palace.

The complaint was allegedly raised by Jason Knauf, who was the Sussexes’ communications secretary at the time.

In response to the allegations, the Duchess of Sussex’s spokesperson called the claims part of a “calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation”.

In a lengthy Twitter thread on Friday (5 March), Adams spoke out against the allegations of bullying Markle has faced, calling her an “enthusiastic, kind, cooperative, giving, joyful and supportive” person.

But Morgan (a harsh critic of Markle) hit back, criticising the Duchess of Sussex for taking part in a TV interview while Harry’s grandfather Prince Philip is in hospital.

In another trailer, Winfrey revealed that she reached out to Meghan with an interview request once before, right before the royal wedding in 2018.

According to the TV juggernaut, at the time, the request was denied on the basis that it was “not the right time,” a statement that prompted Meghan to respond: “I remember that conversation very well, I wasn’t even allowed to have that conversation with you personally.”

CBS is paying $7 million and $9 million for the rights to air Oprah’s interview with Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex, reports say.

The deal between the network and Harpo Productions - Ms Winfrey’s company - gives CBS the rights to license the special in international markets.

A spokeswoman for the couple said they are not being compensated for the interview.

CBS is reportedly charging around $325,000 for 30 seconds of commercial time during the program, double the usual rate.

One trailer for the upcoming interview suggests that Harry may talk about his mother Princess Diana. Like his wife, Harry’s mother was subject to intense press scrutiny.

While the interview is still a couple days away, the network has shared various trailers in the lead-up, which have seen the duke and duchess make a number of poignant statements.

In one trailer, Prince Harry can be seen telling Winfrey that his biggest concern was “history repeating itself,” seemingly alluding to the media treatment of his late mother, Princess Diana.

Oprah Winfrey attended Meghan and Harry’s wedding in 2018, and tomorrow’s interview is reportedly the result of a three-year discussion between the two women .

Winfrey is also friendly with Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland. After photos emerged of Ragland leaving Winfrey’s home with gifts, reports claimed that the TV host had showered her with gifts in a bid to get her to do a tell-all interview.

CBS has previously revealed that the interview will touch on topics ranging from Meghan’s experience “stepping into life as a royal, marriage, motherhood,” as well as her “handling [of] life under intense public pressure”.

The Duchess of Sussex will then be joined by Prince Harry for a discussion with Winfrey about the couple’s move to the US, and their expanding family.

The TV personality has previously said that nothing was “off-limits,” during the interview, which she told Gayle King was the “best interview she’s ever done”.

Ahead of tomorrow’s interview, Meghan’s best friend has publicly defended the Duchess of Sussex.
