If inflation remains at around the same level it is now, state pensioners would see their payments rise to £200 per week.

Currently, the full new state pension stands at £185.15 per week, while the basic state pension is £141.85 per week.

All payment increases to benefits, including the state pension, are implemented on April of every year.
