A wheel fell off an Air Canada plane shortly after taking off from New York.
The Air Canada Airbus A319 jet, carrying 120 passengers and five crew members, was en route from New York LaGuardia to Toronto Pearson International Airport on 18 February.
There was an issue with one the main tyres on take-off, according to the airline.
The plane made a safe emergency landing at Toronto’s main airport, and no injuries were reported.
The Airbus aircraft usually has two wheels on either side of the two sets of landing gear, and two smaller wheels under the nose.

Footage from the incident shows that one of the two wheels on the right-hand side landing gear was missing as the plane came into land.
The Independent has asked Air Canada for comment.
It’s not the first time an Air Canada plane has lost a wheel on take-off.
In January, a wheel fell off an Air Canada Express flight, operated by Jazz Aviation, forcing it to turn back to Montreal-Trudeau airport.
The dramatic moment the wheel detached was captured on camera by passenger Tom, who wrote: “So, well, I’m currently on a plane that has just lost a wheel... 2020 starting off pretty well.”
After the aircraft lost a wheel, the service to Bagotville, 230 miles north, had to turn around and land at Montreal.
“During take-off from Montreal enroute to Bagotville (flight AC8684), one of the two wheels on the left main landing gear became detached,” a Jazz Aviation spokesperson told The Independent.
