The extreme and long-lasting heat, which has brought temperatures which feel like more than 50C, is set to continue for a few more days.
More than a hundred million people have been affected by the heat and red alerts have been issued in around 3,000 towns and cities.
The dangerous conditions are expected to last until at least Friday.
