Chris Eubank Jr will face Marcus Morrison on Saturday night in a long-awaited return following the anticlimax of his last fight 14 months ago against Matt Korobov in New York back in December 2019.

Eubank Jr emerged victorious but Korobov’s injury denied him a glorious chance to impress on a big stage in front of an American audience, but now is the time to pick up momentum again with a new team behind the ferocious middleweight.

He’ll be looking for a fourth win in a row tonight with Roy Jones Jr guiding him in the corner and Kalle and Nisse Sauerland backing him as promoters.

“The tactics, the thought process, the mind-set that I have now is different. Being with him will add years to my career,” Eubank Jr explained.

“It’s not about going to war every time anymore. It’s about being smart and not getting hit.”

Morrison faces a real step up in quality here compared to his previous opponents, but seven wins of his own since mid-2018 should prove a confidence-booster.
