Recent Government statistics have shown that between April 1, 2020 and March 31, 2021, some 38,070 Council Tax challenges were resolved.
Although many people ended up staying in the same Council Tax band, there were changes.
Some 11,687 people are now paying less Council Tax after raising the fact they were in the wrong band.
A Council Tax band determines how much a person pays when it comes to the levy, and in England and Scotland, it is calculated based on what the value of someone’s property would have been in April 1991.
