A TikToker who goes by the handle @bordhead went online and sought the public’s help in “surviving as a Brian Laundrie lookalike”.

In a video, he said that he was flying across the country for his cousin’s wedding the next day. “It is a pretty long flight and so if you have any tips for me on how not to get attacked or accused of being this guy.”

One user suggested: “Need a t-shirt that says, ‘Not Brian.’ Another asked him to shave. “You don’t have the same underbite it’ll be easier that way.”

It was previously reported that some Brian Laundrie doppelgangers had started wearing special T-shirts from Etsy to ensure they were not confused with the fugitive.

Several Etsy shops started selling t-shirts that read “I am just Bald. Nope I am not Brian Laundrie.”

Meanwhile, the coroner on Tuesday revealed that Gabby Petito was strangled.

Brian Laundrie, who has been identified as a person of interest in the case, is still missing.

Domestic violence survivors banded together on social media after the Teton County coroner, Dr Brent Blue, revealed the cause of Gabby Petito’s death was manual strangulation.

Dr Blue refused to divulge more details about the investigation, citing the state law, but alluded to the Petito case being connected to domestic violence - suggesting other such cases did not receive the same attention.

Police have previously released bodycam footage of officers speaking to Petito and her boyfriend Brian Laundrie after the two got into a fight, just a couple of weeks before she went missing.

On social media, several survivors posted about their own experiences with domestic violence.

One user wrote: “I was Gabby age during my DV. It took me 7yr to get out. I have kept it deep down inside of me as I was ashamed & silent about it until this case happened. The bodycam video of her awoke something in me. I can’t explain it. I will not be silent anymore. I want to help others [sic].”

Another said: “There’s so many that have experienced DV. Aug 1991, I waited till my x husband went to work, then packed bags and went to a women’s shelter with my kids. He use to say to me “if you don’t like it there’s the door” I knew he wouldn’t let me take my kids… so I left secretly [sic].”

Yet another user said: “So many of us recognised what was going on after the first Moab video. For me, it was when Brian told the officers that Gabby was crazy. I knew right then he was totally gaslighting her and manipulating the officers.”

As the coroner revealed the cause of death of Gabby Petito, many residents of North Port, Florida — where Petito used to live with her boyfriend and his parents — were glued to their television screens.

Many said that the details surrounding Petito’s death broke their heart.

One resident, Sandra Vaughn told WFLA that her heart sunk on learning the news. She said: “Gabby’s parents, I am so so sorry. My heart breaks for you. My heart really breaks for you, and I hope that you can find some kind of peace somewhere, somehow.”

Ms Vaughn added: “I pray that the Laundries will come out and give you come to some kind of answers.”

Another resident Juan Rodriguez was quoted in the My Sun Coast as saying: “That’s very sad to hear. Why did he have to do that? Something had to trigger him.”

“It’s clarity now; this case is real frustrating because nothing is making any sense,” said Matt, a North Port resident. “It’s like a big circus. There are so many different factors.”

On Tuesday, two protesters were filmed repeatedly knocking on the door of Brian Laundrie’s parents’ house around 8.30pm in North Port in Florida.

One of the two men could be heard shouting: “Come on, dirty Laundries,” “Come on, you guys like to strangle people,” and “We’ll be back.”

They also asked the family to “speak up soon.”

Earlier, the Teton County Coroner, Dr Brent Blue, had revealed that Gabby Petito died of “manual strangulation/ throttling.”

Mr Laundrie, who has been named as a person of interest in the homicide case, remains at large.

Duane Chapman had been thought to have returned to Colorado after injuring himself, but told WFAL he had a “change of plans and couldn’t bring himself to leave.”

He also reacted to the results of Gabby Petitio’s autopsy, which ruled she had died from strangulation and that her body had been left in the wilderness for three to four weeks.

“Strangulation is not an accident. It looks very bad right now for the Laundrie family,” Duane Chapman told WFLA.

The Teton County Coroner who conducted an autopsy on Gabby Petito briefly alluded to domestic violence on Tuesday but refused to go into detail citing the state law.

Dr Brent Blue told the media: “Unfortunately, this is one of many deaths around the country of people who are involved in domestic violence. And it’s unfortunate that these other deaths do not get as much coverage as this one.”

Dr Blue described the attention on the Gabby Petito case as a “media circus.”

Earlier in the media briefing, the coroner revealed that Gabby Petito was killed by strangulation.

Christina Nance, 29, was found dead inside a police van parked outside the law enforcement offices in Huntsville, Alabama. Now, her family is demanding answers.

Local media reports state that Ms Nance was discovered at around 9.15am on Thursday outside the Huntsville Public Safety Complex. A police officer found the body in an old and unused police vehicle as he was walking to a car in the parking lot.

Brian Laundrie’s sister Cassie Laundrie Luycx has had to call the police out to her house nine times in two weeks amid a string of death threats.

Records obtained by WFLA show that Manatee County Sheriff’s deputies have been to her home in Lakewood Ranch, Florida, several times since 19 September.

Dispatch records state that her husband, James, told law enforcement they were getting threats about “killing his family and kidnapping his kids.”

And the records show that on 4 October she was involved in a confrontation with protestors outside the property, which is around 40 miles from the family home.

Coroner Dr Brent Blue did not seem best pleased when he was asked about the challenges of doing his job in the glare of intense media attention.

“Well, it was quite the media circus and continues to be,” said the Teton County official, as he announced that an autopsy examination had concluded Gabby Petito had been strangled to death, even as the search for her missing boyfriend continued.
