17 mins: Lovely hustle from Bowen to hold get to the dropping ball in the box then hold off Adam Lang long enough to win England another corner.

Alexander-Arnold curls it in again but picks out Conor Coady this time and the defender fires his header high and wide.

14 mins: Close! Conor Coady to the rescue for England as Hungary switch the play out to the right where Nego brings it down and fizzes an early ball into the box. Dominik Szoboszlai sprints past the England defence and gets to the ball but he’s losed down well by Pickford. The ball squeezes under the goalkeeper though and looks to be rolling over the line before Coady arrives to belt it away!

11 mins: Chance! A good from Jarrod Bowen sees his effort at goal blocked behind by Attila Szalai. Declan Rice did well to win it in midfield and quickly guide the ball up to Kane who heads it into the box. Bowen arrives from the right and whips his left-foot at the ball to win the corner.

Bowen gets another chance after Hungary defend the corner as Alexander-Arnold flicks one in from the right only for Bowen to volley his effort straight at Peter Gulacsi.

8 mins: A cross field pass over the top almost drops for James Justin’s run down the wing but Loic Nego intercepts it in the air and chests it out for England’s first corner.

Trent Alexander-Arnold takes it for the Three Lions but whips it over everyone and out for a goal kick.

5 mins: There’s an early sighter at goal for Harry Kane after he’s played down the line by Jude Bellingham. He brings the ball into the left side of the arena, cuts inside of Willi Orban then curls his effort wide of the far post.

3 mins: Conor Coady feeds the ball down the inside right channel and finds Harry Kane who attempts to flick it over the top of the defence to play in Jarrod Bowen on the right wing. Instead Attila Szalai shuffles across and wins the ball in the air nodding it out of play.

At the other end of the pitch England give the ball away and it’s collected by Roland Sallai. He drives towards the box and shoots forcing a low save out of Jordan Pickford that he fumbles but manages to recover.

England’s countdown to Qatar begins in Budapest tonight as they take on Hungary in the Nations League. England take the knee and are disappointingly booed by the schoolkids.
