Flowers recently said he was proud that Mr Brightside had "stood the test of time", like some of his own favourite songs by the likes of Depeche Mode or U2. "I never get bored of singing it," he said, and it shows tonight, as he runs a re-worked synth version of it, which catches many fans off-guard at-first, into the riff-heavy original. "Those songs belong to everyone."
