Martin Lewis is back.
The money expert has reassured his fans after a long career break which saw him absent from social media for weeks on end.
The Money Saving Expert Founder announced on July 30 that he was taking a break from his career to spend time with his family.
The money maestro was gone for over a month, save for a brief return for a few hours when the energy price cap changed.
Martin had signed off from his Twitter account with a warning before he left, saying: “'ll be social media silent. The website and weekly email (we've just finished this weeks) will be in the overly-capable hands of the @MoneySavingExp team.
“Beware scammers. Sadly when I'm off social, scammers tend to ramp up activity using my name, even messaging people from fake accounts so do take care.
“Plus when you see all those 'Martin Lewis warns' click bait stories, remember, unless you see me back on here, I'm not doing any interviews or saying owt, so treat them with a pillar of salt.”
Now Martin is back in action at last and has returned from his ‘mini sabbatical’.
Martin Lewis said: “Back at my desk after my mini sabbatical! Hope your summer was good. Returning to social media is a little intimidating. Yet there's a lot going on and a lot of work to do, so time to press the pedal to the metal…”
No doubt, Martin's first jobs will be to tackle the Ofgem Energy Price cap change on October 1, as well as the mooted changes coming in the Budget in October and what it may mean for everything from pensions to Inheritance Tax, Stamp Duty and Council Tax.
