Day seven of the Olympics has brought further medals for Team GB in trampolining, rowing, diving and equestrian to continue Great Britain’s excellent start to Paris 2024.
Emily Craig and Imogen Grant won rowing gold with a dominant performance in the women’s double sculls, moments after Oliver Wynne-Griffith and Thomas George claimed silver in the men’s pair and Bryony Page – who had won silver and bronze at the previous two Games – finally completed her Olympic set by bouncing to an emotional gold.
Jack Laugher and Anthony Harding successfully made it four medals out of four in the diving for Team GB, while Scott Brash, Ben Maher and Harry Charles secured a surprise equestrian gold to continue a medal-laden day.
On the opening morning of the athletics, meanwhile, track stars Dina Asher-Smith and team captain Josh Kerr safely made it through their heats. Later, look out for France’s Olympic superstars, too, as Judo king Teddy Riner aims for gold, and Leon Marchand can win a fourth swimming gold medal with Ben Proud, Duncan Scott and Tom Dean also in action at La Defense Arena.
An emotional Thursday night saw Andy Murray finally walk away from tennis following his doubles defeat alongside Dan Evans. While Simone Biles added a glorious sixth gold medal to her collection in the individual all-around.

Olympics 2024: GREAT BRITAIN WIN TEAM JUMPING GOLD!
Scott Brash is the final man to ride this jumping course with his mount Jefferson. He knows what he needs to do to claim gold for Great Britain.
The run begins with Jefferson clearing the first and second fences with no trouble. It’s a clean looking run so far but there are a few nerves around.
Cleanly through the combination!
Now the double, and the last fence. All clean! There’s a time penalty but that doesn’t matter as Brash and Jefferson keep the fences in tact and bring home the gold!
Wonderful from Team GB!

Olympics 2024: Boxing - Lin Yu-ting set to fight Sitora Turdibekova
Lin receives the first round from four of the five judges. It’s a fluid display from the Taiwanese fighter, using range and bouncing across the ring.
She looked agitated, as is understandable given the enormous pressure surrounding her fight, with her head guard slipping off and disrupting her flow.
Turdibekova is ready for a brawl too! Round two descends into a bit of a messy scrap, both women tied up.
It’s Turdibekova who lands a couple of eye-catching shots, but Lin controlling the tempo and again wins the round. 2-0 to the No.1 seed.

Olympics 2024: Equestrian - Team jumping final
France have knocked off a fence!
That’s a penalty of four meaning they’re down to second but level on points with the Netherlands. Julien Epaillard’s run of 78.83 is quicker than the Dutch which puts the French in second place as things stand.
Just Great Britain to go. A clean run and they’ll take the gold. It’s between Great Britain and the United States.

Olympics 2024: Equestrian - Team jumping final
Incredible work from the United States!
A clear run in a rapid time of 75 seconds from McLain Ward and his mount Ilex means they remain on four penalty points and secure at least a bronze medal.
The USA are currently first with just France and Great Britain to go. Penalties from both of those and the USA will take the gold.

Olympics 2024: Boxing - Lin Yu-ting set to fight Sitora Turdibekova
The controversy surrounding Lin Yu-ting and Imane Khelif, the fighters that failed gender eligibility tests after last year’s 2023 World Championships, continues here in Paris.
The Taiwanese fighter faces the Uzbek fighter in the last 16 of the women’s featherweight.
There is plenty of support here for Lin; she jogs to the ring, pumping her gloves over and down. A loud cheer from the crowd greets her.

Olympics 2024: Tennis - Carlos Alcaraz cruises through to final
The golden summer of Carlos Alcaraz looks to be continuing. Already a winner once on the Roland Garros clay this year, the Spaniard is through to the final of the men’s singles, looking in imperious touch and thrashing Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-1, 6-1.
It’ll be either Lorenzo Musetti or familiar foe Novak Djokovic in the gold medal match for Alcaraz - they meet in the second semi-final at about 6pm BST.
