Russian President Vladimir Putin, a key backer of Belarus leader Alexander Lukashenko, said that Russia was ready to help resolve the crisis, RIA news agency reported. Morawiecki told PAP that EU leaders would discuss further sanctions against Belarus, including completely closing the border.
