Cheltenham: Queen Consort Camilla arrives for Ladies Day
The Duke of Sussex’s libel claim against Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) over an article about his challenge against the Home Office over security arrangements is due to take place at the High Court.
A preliminary hearing in the libel case is now due to take place at the Royal Courts of Justice in London on Friday (17 March). It comes after the libel claim was temporarily paused in December last year to see if a settlement could be reached between the duke and the publisher.
Meanwhile, it has reportedly been confirmed that Camilla will be known as Queen at her and King Charles III’s coronation this May, instead of Queen Consort. The coronation edition of the Bible is set to be released and simply states her as “Queen”, The Mirror reported.
It comes as Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are expected to “miss out” on the Met Gala this year over ongoing “family drama”, with sources suggesting they may be reluctant to make an appearance at the event on 1 May, just five days before the coronation.
The couple have indicated that they have received “email correspondence” about the coronation on 6 May, but have not disclosed their decision about whether they will attend.

Harry is suing Associated Newspapers Limited (ANL) over an article about his separate High Court claim regarding security arrangements for himself and his family when they are in the UK. ANL is contesting the claim.

Royal commentator Tom Bower claims Harry and Meghan ‘weren’t invited’ to Elton John’s annual Oscars party
Tom Bower, author of Rebel Prince: The Making of a Monarch and Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the War Between the Windsors, has claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex “weren’t invited” to Sir Elton John’s annual Oscars party this year.
The royal commentator suggested during an appearance on GB News this week that the couple’s absence from the party suggested they were “nobodies in Hollywood”, amid speculation over whether or not they will attend King Charles III’s coronation this spring.
However, it is not known if the couple declined an invitation or were taken off the guest list.
Sir Elton John and Prince Harry are close friends. The superstar performed at the duke’s wedding to Meghan Markle in 2018 in Windsor.
He was also close friends with Harry’s mother, the late Diana, and performed his song “Candle in the Wind” at her funeral in September 1997.

The upcoming coronation is expected to be a “slimmed-down” version of the royal engagement, with the ceremony lasting just over an hour and the guest list slashed from 8,000 to 2,000.
There will also be updates to the dress code, with a more relaxed dress code, which would possibly allow peers to wear lounge suits or morning suits instead of luxurious ceremonial robes made with crimson velvet and ermine, expected to be in place.
