A US man has been sentenced to decades in prison after attacking a judge in a Las Vegas courtroom earlier this year.
Deobra Redden, 31, was caught on camera in January jumping over a desk and lunging at Judge Mary Kay Holthus, who was sentencing him in another case.
The judge was not badly injured. Redden later pleaded guilty to attempted murder but said he was mentally unwell, and on Tuesday said he did not intend to kill the judge - who was 62 at the time.
"I'm not an evil guy," he said. He was sentenced by a different judge on Tuesday to serve a prison term between 26 and 65 years.
