Day 12 of the Tokyo Olympics will see American stars Sydney McLaughlin and Dalila Muhammad go head to head in the women’s 400m hurdles.

In the second track and field session of the day, American teenage sprint sensation Erriyon Knighton, 17, will take on a fast field in the final of the men’s 200m.

Knighton is the youngest athlete to make the 200m final for 37 years, the youngest member of the current US Olympic track and field team, and the youngest American male track star at the games since Jim Ryun in 1964.

The women’s golf competition kicks off from Kasumigaseki Country Club with South Koreas’s Inbee Park aiming to repeat her victory in the women’s tournament at Rio 2016.

The first ever park skateboarding event will also get underway, with Great Britain’s Sky Brown, 13, 15-year-old Misugu Okamoto of japan and Bryce Wettstein of Team USA all involved.
