NOVI YARYLOVYCHI, Ukraine: More than 1,000 Hasidic Jewish pilgrims were gathered at the Belarus-Ukraine border on Wednesday as Kiev barred them entry because of virus restrictions, border guards from both countries said.
A Ukrainian border guard spokesman, Andriy Demchenko, told AFP "there are around 1,000 people" at the border crossing point, while Belarus said 1,064 people had attempted to cross.
